FAQ
Who is EBO suitable for?
EBO is primarily designed for cat owners, but it's also great for those with small pet dogs.
With features like flexible 'free-roam' mobile monitoring and remote two-way voice, EBO is also a helpful home companion for keeping an eye on things at home and staying in touch with family when you’re away.
How high of a carpet or threshold can EBO cross?
EBO Air and EBO SE can cross carpets or door thresholds up to a height of about 0.5cm-0.6cm.
Does EBO require regular maintenance? Is it complicated?
Yes, EBO requires regular maintenance, but it's quick and simple — taking less than 5 minutes.
Since EBO is a free-roaming home companion robot, it's natural for human and pet hair to get caught in its wheels as it moves around the house. We recommend periodically removing the wheels and cleaning off any hair or dust, following the instructional video for guidance."
What should I do if my puppy bites the wire?
This is completely normal — puppies naturally like to chew on things. For safety, we recommend securing and concealing the cord during installation. Also, if you have a larger dog, be aware that it may pick up the EBO in its mouth, which could cause it to fall and get damaged.
What is the difference between EBO SE and EBO Air?
EBO SE is our standard model, covering most of your everyday needs, while EBO Air offers more fun, intelligent features.
Compared to EBO SE, EBO Air includes the following major upgrades: AI-powered security monitoring, AI-powered pet companionship, laser pointer and feather-wand remote pet teasing, quieter movement, and intelligent front-facing drop detection, among others
Is EBO waterproof?
EBO Air is not waterproof. Please keep it away from water and avoid splashing during operation. If water accidentally gets into EBO, turn it off immediately (press the RESET button on the bottom twice), remove the wheel set, and dry it thoroughly with a dry cloth/paper towel or a hairdryer if available. Make sure it's completely dry before turning it back on or recharging.
What should I do if my kitten is timid and scared of EBO?
This is completely normal — after all, EBO is a new member of the family, so it makes sense that your cat would feel unfamiliar or cautious around it at first. To avoid startling your kitten, try controlling EBO more gently and slowly in the early stages, allowing your cat to adjust gradually.
You can also use EBO's interactive features, like the laser or feather wand, to engage and play with your cat, and use the remote voice feature to talk to it — helping your cat recognise your voice and grow more comfortable with EBO over time.
Is the EBO Air laser Class 1 certified?
EBO Air’s play laser is designed to project onto the floor to encourage pets to interact. During turns or movement, the beam may briefly cross a pet’s body. The product uses a Class 1 laser (laser safety certification). Follow the app and user guide, supervise pets during play, and avoid directing the beam toward eyes.
The laser is emitted through the device’s semi-transparent outer shell, which helps reduce intensity in normal use.
